Ermadean Owen

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ermadean Owen, 86, of Harrisburg passed away at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the home of her son in Galatia.

Ermadean was born April 15, 1923, in Sturgis, Ky., to the late Robert and Vergie (Price) Parish. She married William "Cookie" Owen in 1976 and he preceded her in death in September of 1997. Ermadean was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church and had worked at the Cap Factory for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna "Susie" Wilson of Harrisburg; son, Mike and wife Carolyn Leverett of Galatia; sister, Lillie Pankey of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Lonnie Leverett; sister, Mable Turner; brother, Robert Parish; and a brother and sister in infancy, Mary Edith and Russell Wayne Parish.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Marvel officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois Blue East Team.
