Maxine Taylor

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Maxine L. Taylor, 85, Dittmer, Mo., formerly of Evansville, Ind., passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at her son's home in Dittmer, Mo.

Maxine was born July 1, 1924, in Martinsville, Ind. to Marion P. and Goldie Marie (Deckard) Brown. She loved attending church and serving the Lord at Evansville United Christian Fellowship Church, where she was a member. Maxine retired as an assistant vice president from Midwest Federal Savings Bank, after 19 years of service. She was a loving mother and one of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her many friends.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Voight and his wife Jean of Dittmer, Mo. and Brian Voight and his wife Janet of Eldorado; one sister, Wilma Lou Brown of Evansville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Michele Voight of Corpus Christi, Texas, Krista Voight of Millstadt, Kim Neptune and her husband Chad of Forney, Texas and Ben Voight of Louisville, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Noah Neptune and Jayda Neptune of Forney, Texas; three stepgrandchildren, Bill Knop and his wife Patricia of Marissa, John Knop and his wife Heide of Steelville and Roberta VanDoren and her husband Tim of Dittmer, Mo.; and 11 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Bratcher Taylor in 1997.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home-East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave. Evansville, Ind., with Bro. John Reed and Bro. Herbert Hope officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. Friends may call from 4 pm until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home-East Chapel and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at noon Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.
