Pauline Barnes

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline Barnes, 84, of 436 W. Harrison St., Carrier Mills, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Services will be held noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Gary Simmons and the Rev. Terry Taborn officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on July 26, 1925, in Herrin to the late James and Susie (Stacey) Triplett. She married Harry Hamilton, who preceded her in death. She later married William J. Barnes, who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1969.

She was a member of the Carrier Mills Tabernacle.

She is survived by a son, Mike Barnes of Carrier Mills; three daughters, Wilma Hamilton of Carrier Mills, Joann Hale and Wanda Fisher, both of Harrisburg; four sisters, Betty Cuttrell of Herrin, Lillie Foster of Murphysboro, Patty Buckner of Murray, Ky. and Joyce South of Sesser; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a daughter, Helen Marie Barnes; four brothers; three sisters; and a great-grandchild.
