</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Leo L. Karcher, 88, McLeansboro, died 6:41 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, McLeansboro.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro with Msgr. Joseph Lawler officiating. Burial will be in St. Clements Cemetery with graveside military rites by McLeansboro American Legion Post No. 106. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, the former Bernadine Frey; a brother; a sister-in-law; a sister; and 49 nieces and nephews.
