El Zada Ozment

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[El Zada Ozment, 70, Town Park Road, Carrier Mills, died 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at her home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1939, in Saline County to Gilbert and Irene Talley Miler. She was married to Richard Ozment on Aug. 25, 1956.

She was the activity director of a health care facility and a member of First United Methodist Church of Carrier Mills and VFW Auxiliary at Anna.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Cindy (Jim) Kohl of Cobden; mother and stepfather, Irene (John) Gowdy of Carrier Mills; one brother, Frank (Diane) Miller of Carrier Mills; one sister, Beth (Ray) Watson of Harrisburg; stepbrother, John (Melinda) Gowdy II of Harrisburg; and a grandchild, Matthew Kohl of Cobden.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Richard "Rick" Ozment in 2003.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home, Carrier Mills and after 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Joey Dunning and the Rev. Stan Irvin officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

For those who prefer, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization and left at the funeral home.
