Glendle Gene 'Gin' Lane

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Glendle Gene "Gin" Lane, 76, of Harrisburg passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at home. He was born on Jan. 17, 1933, in Harrisburg, the son of George and Lillian Lane.

He married Lorene Vickery of Shawneetown on Sept. 20, 1952. He retired from Sahara Coal Company in June of 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene Lane; three children, Sandra Hunt and husband John, Keith Lane and wife Janet and Della Anderson and husband Danny; four grandchildren, Shannon Hunt and wife Karen, Ryne Hunt and wife Blaire, Jodie Anderson and Wesley Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Logan Hunt, Adriana Noell and Hadley Hunt; and three siblings, Deldia Watkins and husband Leo, Retha Kohl and husband Bob and Benny Lane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Lane; a brother, Cloyde Lane; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Lane and Joan Lane; and a niece, Terry Lynn Lane.

Services will be held at Weirauch Funeral Home of Harrisburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
