Rodger Blaine Barefoot

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rodger Blaine Barefoot, 68, of Harrisburg died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at his residence in Harrisburg.

He was born April 17, 1941, in Altoona, Pa., to the late Blaine and Nellie (Smith) Barefoot. On Sept. 7, 1983, he married Linda Bethel and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2005.

Rodger was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702 and the Harrisburg Masonic Lodge.

Surviving family members include a son, Blaine Barefoot of New Orleans, La.; daughter, Tonya (Tim) Rister of Nashville, Tenn.; son, Rodger L. Barefoot of Harrisburg; two brothers, Jordan (Carol) Barefoot of Altoona, Pa., and John (Kathy) Barefoot of Altoona, Pa.; two sisters, Norma Hunt of Altoona, Pa., and Susan Rhodes of Altoona, Pa.; and a granddaughter, Lauren Barefoot of New Orleans, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Linda.

Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
