</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Guy Smith, 71, Herod, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at his residence.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Golconda, with military rites. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his two children, two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.
