Lorene Tucker Patrick

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lorene Tucker Patrick, 81, of Stuart Estates in McLeansboro, formerly of Shawneetown, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

She was born in Shawneetown on March 4, 1928, to Elzie Tucker and Opal Brison Maynard.

Lorene is survived by two sisters, Velma "Sis" and Chester "Checker" Darnell and Doris "Tiny" and Gene Dodd, both of Shawneetown; three brothers, Harrison and Lela Tucker of Evansville, Ind., Bob and Jane Tucker of Eldorado and Fred and Esther Tucker of Equality.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Charles "Red" Tucker, Eugene Tucker, Theodore Bowels and Bernard Tucker.

Visitation for Lorene will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James R. Hubbard officiating. Burial will be at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown.
