Kevin Lee Hodge

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kevin Lee Hodge, 51, of Harrisburg, was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center, the result of a swimming accident.

Kevin was born Oct. 3, 1957, in Harrisburg, the son of William Hobart and Louise Moss Hodge. He graduated Harrisburg High School, where he was an accomplished athlete. He was an Army veteran. He was married to Charlene Roland on April 5, 1980, in Harrisburg and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

Surviving are his wife, Charlene; three sons, Joshua Hodge, Jeromy Hodge and Kevin Hodge, all of Harrisburg; one daughter, Deidre DeMartino of Bloomington; one brother, Terry Hodge of Harrisburg; four sisters, Shirley Starks of Esmont, Va., Patricia Hodge, Cynthia Hodge and Judy Hodge, all of Harrisburg; his mother-in-law, Ethel Roland of Harrisburg; and nine grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Stewart officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. The J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
