Mae Elizabeth Miller

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mae Elizabeth Miller, 76, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, after enduring a long illness. She was under the tender care of Hospice of St. Francis at her daughter's home in Titusville, Fla., until her time of passing.

Mae had lived for a few prior years in Harrisburg, her husband's hometown, where family still resides. She was a long time resident of Ponce Inlet, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Miller; and two brothers, Harold White of Titusville, Fla. and Otis White of Chicago.

Mae was born in Terre Haute, Ind., and graduated from Wiley High School. She retired from the State of Florida Jobs and Benefits in Daytona Beach in 2003 after serving as an adjudicator for 20 years.

Mae is survived by her four children, all residing in Florida: Debra Elrick, Port Saint John; W. Greg Miller, Ponce Inlet; Diane Lorey, Titusville; and David Miller, South Daytona; and two grandchildren, Jason Elrick and Brett Elrick, both of Port Saint John.

All who knew Mae appreciated her as a woman of benevolence, and knew her as a kind, loving soul. Being with her family never failed to put a smile on her face, and she valued those times above all else. She was a woman marked by both class and humility, merriment and sincerity and will be greatly missed by all those who love her.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cardwell Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange, Fla. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, with the funeral service to begin at noon. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Port Orange.
