Barbara A. McGhee

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara A. McGhee, 72, 16 W. Baker St., Harrisburg, died 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

There will be no visitation and a service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home, Harrisburg.

She was born Oct. 22, 1936, in Wasson to the late Kenneth C. and Dollie Mae (Christian) Baer.

She was a retired homemaker and Baptist by faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Kim (Mike) Grounds of Eddyville; a son, Kyle (Billie) McGhee of Harrisburg; a daughter, Kristina Garrison of Harrisburg; a brother, John (Donna) Baer of Harco; a sister, Shelby Hooten of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Tristyn Grounds of Eddyville; two grandsons, Kyle Eugene McGhee Jr. and Elijah McGhee, both of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Garrison of Harrisburg; a grandson, Jacob Garrison of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Addyson Cockrum of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Cooper Given of Eddyville.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Kevin Smothers; and a granddaughter, Michaella Grounds.
