</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Maxine Lowery Pendell, 85, McLeansboro, died 9:55 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried and the Rev. Mark Byars officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at the funeral home.

She was the widow of Carl Albert Pendell. She is survived by a daughter, son-in-law, two sons, a daughter-in-law, a sister, brother-in-law, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, stepmother and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
