Bobby R. Rash

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bobby R. Rash, 63, of Sturgis, Ky., formerly of Shawneetown, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Bobby was born in Cave-In-Rock on Nov. 6, 1945, to the late Hazel and Arzona (Winters) Rash. Bobby was married on June 9, 1973, to Diana (Walker) Rash.

Bobby owned and operated a very successful industrial painting business for many years in Arizona before retiring and moving back to the Shawneetown area. Bobby was always happy to be around his friends and family; he loved to visit and cut up with everyone. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, and was a big Nascar fan. He greatly loved his church and to help those in need. He served on the Mammoth Town Council in Arizona for 10 years. He was a faithful member of the Junction First Baptist Church. Bobby was a good husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by our community. He enriched the lives of everyone he touched with a zest for life, helping others, and love for Christ.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Diana (Walker) Rash of Sturgis, Ky.; son, Joe (Angela) Rash of Oran, Mo.; daughters, Jennifer Rash of Phoenix, Ariz., and Angela (Ramon) Sanchez of San Manuel, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Bobby also has three brothers, Benny (Margaret) Rash of Shawneetown, Jerry (Phyllis) Rash of Indianapolis, Ind., and Billy (Kim) Rash of Sturgis, Ky.; and two sisters, Myrna (Lee) Smith of Las Vegas, Nev., and Darlene (Jim) Warner of Las Vegas, Nev.

A memorial visitation and service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Junction First Baptist Church, Junction. The family will receive friends starting at 3 p.m. and the service for Bobby will begin at 6 p.m. The Rev. Roy Dale Orr will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Junction First Baptist Church.
