Barbara A. Brasher

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara A. Brasher, 63, a resident of Carrier Mills, died 12:35 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born April 18, 1946, in Saline County to Guy Ferrell and Opal Swan. She married James A. "Jim" Brasher on June 20, 1966.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Amie (Randy) Doty of Carrier Mills; two sons, Carl Brasher of Vienna and Derik (Pam) Brasher of Harrisburg; two brothers, Gene (Ruth) Ferrell of Harrisburg and Jerry (Pat) Ferrell of Scott City, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Nelda Ferrell of Marion; eight grandchildren, Sarah (DeShawn) Ellis, Brian Doty, Braden Doty, Hannah Doty, Conner Doty, Breanna Brasher, Reagan Brasher and Aidan Brasher; and a great-grandchild, Donte Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Ferrell and Opal Ferrell Fox; two sons, Ty Ray Brasher and baby Jimmy Brasher; a grandchild, Sidney Brasher; a brother, Paul Ferrell; and a sister, Mary Ferrell.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2009, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Bobby Gentry and Dr. Ed Hollis officiating. Burial will be in South America Cemetery, Carrier Mills.

The family prefers memorials for those who wish to the South America Cemetery in her honor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
