Dorothy Curry Gregory Boyd

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dorothy Curry Gregory Boyd, 84, of Hutsonville, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville.

She was born April 13, 1925, in Alton, the daughter of Roy and Beulah (McDowell) Irwin. She was first married to John Curry Jr. He preceded her in death. She was then married to Earl Gregory. He precedes her also. She is married to Norman Boyd of Hutsonville.

She is survived by a son, John Curry of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Linda Beanblossom of Lawrenceville; four stepsons, Kevin Boyd of Terre Haute, Ind., Christopher Boyd of Hutsonville, Keith Boyd of Rock Hill, S.C., and Craig Boyd of St. Mary's, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Cathy Daugherty of Fairbanks, Ind., and Karen Schut of West York; three brothers, Jack Irwin of Harrisburg, Joe Irwin of Harrisburg and Frank Irwin of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Bridgette Harris and Christopher Curry; 15 stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

She owned and operated the 12th Street Cafe in Lawrenceville. She also worked at the Richland County Grade Schools as a cook. She was a member of the Saline Ridge Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Emmons-Macey and Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009.
