Loretta J. Patton
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Loretta J. Patton, nee Wiggins, 79, of Trenton, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs. Patton was born July 25, 1929, in Alton to James "Marshall" and Lorene (Hendricks) Wiggins. They preceded her in death.
She married James "Lonnie" Patton in 1947 at Restitution Church of God in Eldorado; he preceded her in death in May of 1984.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, James "Jim" Wiggins.
Surviving are her children, James Thomas (Barbara) Patton of Elko, Nev., Lonna "Jane" (Stephen Feldmann) Patton of Trenton and Elizabeth L. Potratz of Belleville; five grandchildren, Thomas (Adrienne) Patton, Brad (Kristen) Patton, the Rev. Joseph (Sarah) Feldmann, Jamie Feldmann and Raymond Feldmann; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan, Dannin and Ethan Patton; a brother, Jack (Velma) Wiggins of Eldorado; and a sister-in-law, Jean Wiggins of Wood River.
Loretta was a homemaker and was an avid gardener, loving her flowers.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Woman's Guild and J.O.Y. in Trenton, Restitution Church of God in Eldorado and the Trenton Tumbleweeds.
Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with the Rev. Linzy Collins Jr. officiating and again on 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Restitution Church of God in Eldorado with Mr. Carlos Medley officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and again from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Restitution Church of God in Eldorado. Interment will be in Barnett Cemetery, Equality.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or to Aussie Rescue of St. Louis and will be received at the funeral home.
