</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Doris J. McDowell, 65, of 1707 W. Chestnut St., Marion, died 5 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Mt. Carmel St. Anne Hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1944, in Chicago to Loren Headrick and the late Dorthy (Stone) Smith. She married Vladimer Sacha, who preceded her in death. She married Jerry McDowell, who survives.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry McDowell of Marion; her father, Loren (Eva) Headrick of Carrier Mills; a stepson, David (Daniela) McDowell of Jacksonville; a stepgranddaughter, Catherine Devarose; two brothers, Alfred Headrick and William Joseph Headrick; a sister, Evelyn Fay Daugherty; a stepsister, Sharon Hurley of Carrier Mills; and a stepbrother, James Murphy of Stonefort.
