Wanda L. Murray
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wanda L. Murray, 86, Ferdinand, Ind., formerly of Carrier Mills, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills. There will no visitation; all friends should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate. Arrangements are in the charge of Felty Funeral Home, Carrier Mills.
She was born on June 18, 1923, in Marion to the late Ben and Nola (Talley) Murrow. On Dec. 20, 1976, she married Denzil "Butch" Murray. He preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1988.
She was a member of the Carrier Mills American Legion ladies auxiliary Post No. 364.
She is survived by a son, James Michael (Mary) Deaton of Birdseye, Ind.; four sisters, Alice Ross of Tunnel Hill, Dorothy Oliver of Vienna, Mildred Oliver of Florida and Betty Frothingham of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jessica Lewis, Jim Deaton, John Deaton, Shane Deaton, Ron Brown and Sheila Davis; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Murrow and Fuzz Murrow; and two sisters, Marie Whitlock and Lorene Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery and sent to the funeral home.
