</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruby Aileen Garris, 92, Berkley, Mich., died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at her residence.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born March 30, 1918, in Eldorado to Ernest and Edith (Watson) Oglesby.

She was the widow of Sherman Garris, who died in July 1984.

She was a housewife and a member of Grosse Pointe Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Dave) Canto of Berkley, Mich.; a brother, John (Carol) Oglesby of Eldorado; four sisters, Pauline Kelsheimer of South Bend, Ind., Helen Cook of Harrisburg, Mary Ellen McGowan of Eldorado and Carole (Bob) Cruse of Marion; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Oglesby and Jack Oglesby; and a sister, Hilda LaMont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
