Patricia 'Pat' Mayhew

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Patricia "Pat" Mayhew, 63, Carrier Mills, died 3:53 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Graveside services will preceded burial 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Salem Cemetery near Carrier Mills. The Rev. Gaylon Parks will officiate. There will be no visitation; those attending should gather at the cemetery. Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born May 24, 1946, to the late Waldo and Rebeccah Kennedy (Doubet) Gibbs. On July 11, 1964, she married Donald Mayhew.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Julie (Joe) Parton of Carrier Mills; grandson, Joshua Adam Parton of Columbus, Ind.; one sister, Phyllis Joyner of Harrisburg; one brother, Bud Flynn of Harrisburg; and special friends, Nathan Rice and Lola Valdez.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

At her request, flowers should be omitted. Memorials may be directed to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation; envelopes will be available at the graveside service.
