Una Mae Scott

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Una Mae Scott, 69, Mount Vernon, died 11:15 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Mount Vernon.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Wells Chapel General Baptist Church in Bluford with the Rev. Fred Estheimer officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, Jefferson County. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church.

She was born Friday, Nov. 17, 1939, in Jefferson County to Rolla C. and Venita K. (Gregory) Eller. On Aug. 11, 1957, she married Richard Paul Scott at Second Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.

Una Mae graduated from Mount Vernon Township High School Class of 1957; she was a homemaker and baby-sitter for many children and later worked as a clerical assistant for Jeff Donoho Insurance Company. She was a member of Wells Chapel General Baptist Church in Bluford, the Modern Woodmen of America Camp 8027, Marlow Sunshine Circle Club and the Bluford Ruritanettes; she was active in the Women's Missionary Society and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and family genealogy.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Paul Scott of Mount Vernon; a son, Alan (Kathy) Scott of Mount Vernon; three daughters, Debra (Tom) Spada of La Center, Wash., Karen Elmira (Garry) Brookman of Sikeston, Mo. and Sara (Travis) DeNeal of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, Robert, Amber and Duane Burroughs, Jennifer, Kristina, Kristofer, Makayla and Mikel Scott and Madeleine and Wilson DeNeal; nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Zoey, Austin, Braden, Jason, Madyson, Hailey and Hannah Burroughs and Anna Scott; a brother, Ronald (Vera) Eller of Fenton, Mo.; a sister, Wanda Livesay of Centralia; special friends, Jeff and Kim Donoho of Mount Vernon and Janith Chambliss of Bluford; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles preceded her in death.
