Ronald E. Bean

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. Ronald E. Bean, 72, of North Augusta, S.C., entered into rest May 22, 2009. Private family services will be conducted.

Mr. Bean was native of Harrisburg, a former resident of Fort Dodge, Iowa, having recently made North Augusta his home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a former chemical supervisor with A. E. Staley Co. of Decatur and a retired high school science teacher. Mr. Bean was an avid golfer, traveler and cook.

Survivors include a son, Kyle Bean, Mt. Zion; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly A. Bean, Graniteville, S.C., Kyra Brunswick, Dallas, Ga. and Kristin and Ralph Sapp III, North Augusta; a sister, Alice Nell Belknap, Wenham, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
