Lorene McDaniel Anderson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lorene McDaniel Anderson, 94, of Harrisburg and formerly of Kansas, died Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Lorene was born in Stonefort on April 18, 1915, to the late Benjamin and Nola Talley Murrow. In 1931, she married Howard McDaniel and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1944. She married Oscar Anderson in 1959, and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2009.
She was a member of the Nazarene faith.
Lorene is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Joe) Farquhar of Florissant, Mo.; one son, Frank McDaniel of Harrisburg; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis McDaniel of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; five sisters, Wanda Murray of Indiana, Alice Ross of Springfield, Betty Frothingham of Arizona, Mildred Oliver of Florida and Dorothy Oliver of Vienna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; daughter, Sylvia Carlton; son, Bill McDaniel; daughter-in-law, LaWanda McDaniel; son-in-law, Lee Carlton; sisters, Blanch Black, Pauline Boyd and Marie Whitlock; and two brothers, James Howard Murrow and Robert Benjamin Murrow.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. John Black officiating. Burial will be in the Little Saline Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Saturday until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Little Saline Cemetery fund; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
