Gary L. Jackson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Gary L. Jackson Sr., 76, of 204 Poplar St., Stonefort, died 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at his residence.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. John Rogers and the Rev. Jeff Owens officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at the funeral home with Masonic rites by the Stonefort Masonic Lodge at 7 p.m.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1932, in Johnson County to the late Eugene and Ruth (Nance) Jackson. He married Rose "Dee" Carman on May 17, 1952, and she survives.
He was owner and operator of Jackson Contracting. He was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church and the Stonefort Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Rose "Dee" Jackson of Stonefort; two sons, Gary "Chuck" (Peggy) Jackson Jr. of Derry, N.H., and Richard "Rick" Jackson of Hampstead, N.H.; a daughter, Kathy Jackson of Stonefort; two brothers, George (Elaine) Jackson of Stonefort and the Rev. Edward (Loretta) Jackson of Marion; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Adrienne (Mike), Robbie, Gary (Shawnna), Stephanie, Isabella and Julia; three great-grandchildren, Malaki, Aubriella and R.J.; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Kay Jackson; and three brothers, James Jackson, Harold Jackson and William Jackson.
