Margaret Ellen Davis
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Margaret Ellen Davis, 75, of Norris City, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.
She was the wife of Tom "Red" Davis Sr., who survives.
Margaret was born in McLeansboro on June 30, 1933, the daughter of the late Henry and Alma (Mezo) Cantrell.
She was a member of Wasson Baptist Church, Wasson.
In addition to being a homemaker, Margaret and her husband co-owned and operated the Gallatin County Tin Shop in Ridgway from 1962 to 1984.
Margaret is survived by four sons, Tom (Debbie) Davis Jr. of Ridgway, Ronnie Davis of Eldorado, Donnie (Jo Ellen) Davis of Omaha and William Henry (Kathy) Davis of Ohio.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Josh Davis, D.J. Davis, Joseph Davis and Elizabeth Davis; and six stepgrandchildren.
Margaret is also survived by a sister, Mae (Eugene) Allen of McLeansboro.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Cantrell and Jake Cantrell; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Davis.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 with the Rev. Don Nelson and the Rev. Randy Grace officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wasson Baptist Church and can be left at the funeral home.
