Franklin 'Buddy' Everett Green

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Franklin "Buddy" Everett Green, 67 of Alameda, Calif., died April 23, 2009.

He was born Feb. 20, 1942, to Lewis and Norma Green. He was a graduate of Carrier Mills High School class of 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. Frank started his career in the early 1970s at Illinois Power Company. In 1981, he transferred to Grand River Dam Authority in Broken Arrow, Okla., where he worked as transmission superintendent until 2001. In 2001, he accepted a position at Alameda Power and Telecom, where he was employed until his death.

Frank had an amazing zest for life. He was a fantastic jazz pianist. Music was a large part of Frank's life. He filled our lives with great songs. His other passion was the water. He spent many summers on Lake Shelbyville, Lake Hudson and San Francisco Bay. He was an avid boater, fisherman, scuba diver (doing search and rescue for the State of Oklahoma).

Frank loved the game of golf. If he wasn't on the water or at the piano he was on the golf course. Frank's talents and "bigger than life personality" will be missed greatly.

He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Green and Mike Yukica of McKinney, Texas; one grandson, Cade Franklin Green Yukica of McKinney, Texas; spouse, Mae Green; mother, Norma Green Jones; stepfather, the Rev. Bob Jones of Galatia; two sisters, Sheila and John Hill of Las Vegas, Nev. and Cheryl and Jim Fuhr of Eldorado; nieces and nephews, Tim Green, Misty Ollis, Sarah Hill Terry, Kara Hill, Jerome Wisehart and Nathaniel Fuhr; great-nieces and nephews, Maddison and Jamisen Green, Patrick and Benjamin Terry, Emma and Ethan Wisehart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Franklin Green; and one brother, Larry J. Green.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Little Chapel Church, Route 34, Harrisburg.
