Alice 'Lucille' Marie Ward

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Alice "Lucille" Marie Ward, 74, 105 Rays Road, Harrisburg, died 9:20 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at the residence of her son in Harrisburg.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Baker officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at Gaskins Funeral Home, Harrisburg.

She was born Oct. 14, 1934, in Marshall to Harlen Orval and Martha Mae (Spoonemor) Shumaker.

She was a retired homemaker and Baptist by faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Hayes of Shawneetown; two sons, Darrell (Brenda) Ward of Harrisburg and Ricky Ward of Ledford; several grandchildren, Faith and Matthew and Alexie Tomlinson of Mt. Vernon, Ind, Katie Blazier of Harrisburg and Doyle Chamberlin of Harrisburg; a sister, Lena Kennedy of Marshall; two brothers, James E. (Connie) Shumaker of Creve Coeur and Tom Shumaker of Bedford, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Theodore, Donald, Lester, Frank and John Shumaker.
