</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Rev. Herbert M. Thomason, 94, of rural McLeansboro, died 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at his residence.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Pollard officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

He was the widower of Sarah VanWinkle. He is survived by a son, daughter-in-law, stepson, daughter, stepdaughter, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
