Laura Jean McGhee
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Laura Jean McGhee, 41, of Eldorado, but longtime resident of Gallatin County, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, after an extended illness.
Laura Jean was born in Eldorado on Jan. 26, 1968, to the late Bill Brooks and Delana (Oldham) Morse, who survives.
Laura was a member of the Leamington Community Church. She loved the outdoors and loved to fish. She was a good mother, sister, daughter and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She put up a valiant fight for her family and friends to overcome this sickness.
She is survived by three sons, Colt Barton of Broughton and Michael and Adam McGhee of Eldorado; mother and stepfather, Delana and Jim Morse of Junction; brother, Ted Boulds of Harrisburg; uncle and aunt, Charles and Oretha Oldham of Equality; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, and grandparents, Garcia and Imogene Oldham.
Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. Funeral ceremony was 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at the funeral home with the Rev. Buddy Hubbard officiating. Interment was in the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
