Jackie D. 'Jack' Mays

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jackie D. "Jack" Mays, 72, of Danville, passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at his residence.

He was born on May 24, 1936, in Harrisburg, the son of James and Sadie (Daniels) Mays.

In December of 1965, Jack married Ms. Delores Crim. She preceded him in death in 1997. Jack later married Ms. Marva Davis in Danville. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2007.

Survivors include one son, Rick (Carla) Crim of St. Louis, Mo., three daughters, Jackie (Fred) Dismuke-Kelly of Evansville, Ind., Tiffany Mays of Evansville, Ind., and Machelle Mays of Harrisburg. Other survivors include nine grandchildren, Candace, Robin, Garrett, Quayde, Brayan, Aevan, Ebonie, Isaiah and Israel; three great-grandchildren, Maleaya, Keavont and Markel; and many nieces.

His parents, three brothers, Donald, James, Kenneth and one sister, Rosa, precede Jack in death.

Jack served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Hyster of Danville in 1997. He enjoyed Illini football and playing poker with his friends.
