Raymond 'Ray' E. Sisky
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Raymond "Ray" E. Sisky, 77, of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1931, in Harrisburg to the late Walter and Josephine (Cooley) Sisky. On April 20, 1956, he married Clara B. Short and she survives.
Ray retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Plant in Harrisburg. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran, serving in German. Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he was an avid golfer at the Shawnee Hills Country Club and he was an avid sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Notre Dame.
Surviving family members include his wife, Clara Sisky of Harrisburg; daughter, Joni Sisky of Carterville; son, Terry Sisky of Harrisburg; and sister, Mary Bowers and husband Larry of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Harry, Frank and John Sisky.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Ignatius Okonkwo will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
