John H. McCullough
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John H. McCullough, 60, of Kewanee, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
John was born Aug. 4, 1948, in Fayette, Mo., the son of John H. Serena (Sperry) McCullough.
John attended school in California and later graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1967. He also graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. John was employed at Pearson Bros. in Galva and was a school teacher at Kewanee and served as a private tutor.
John married Cathryn Jo Capel on June 15, 1973, in Harrisburg. She survives, along with one sister, Mary Erla Wolters of Newark, Del.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Seran Ann Merritt.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Kewanee and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and his dogs, China and Buddy.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. The Rev. Linnea Gustafson will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, rural Kewanee. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee.
