Oscar L. Anderson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Oscar L. Anderson, 95, of Shaw Street, Harrisburg, formerly of Kansas, died 7:45 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

He was born Aug. 9, 1913, in Clark County to John and Ada (Carothers) Anderson. On Oct. 23, 1959, he married Lorene Murrow McDaniel, who survives.

He was retired from New York Central Railroad and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Harrisburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Patricia (Joe) Farquhar of Florissant, Mo.; a stepson, Frank McDaniel of Harrisburg; seven stepgrandchildren; nine great-stepgrandchildren; several great-great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Bill McDaniel; and a stepdaughter, Sylvia Carlton.

Visitation is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, to service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. The Rev. Joey Dunning will officiate. Burial will be in Little Saline Cemetery, Stonefort.

The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers to the Little Saline Cemetery in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
