Dickie L. Woods

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dickie L. Woods, 54, a lifelong resident of Ridgway, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

He was born in Eldorado on Aug. 25, 1954, to the late Corbett and Opal (Sauls) Woods. Dickie was married to Trisha (Richardson) on Nov. 6, 1987, spending 22 years of marriage with the love of his life.

Dickie worked as laborer for many years, especially doing farm work. He was a good Christian man, husband, brother and friend; he was a member of the Equality Church of God. Dickie will be greatly missed.

Survivors include a son, Brandon Holland of Ridgway; two brothers, Ray (Dianne) Woods of Norris City and Deon (Janet) Woods of Omaha; a sister, Darlene (Edward) Brown of Raleigh; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mike (Cathy) Malone, Kim Stacey, Will (Robin) Richardson, Donna Owen, Gary (Susan) Meadows, Cindy Meadows and Robert (Linda) Green; and many nephews and nieces.

Graveside service for Dickie will be at 2 p.m. Saturday March 28, 2009, at the Oak Grove Cemetery east of Ridgway with the Rev. Peggy Winters officiating. Arrangements are in the charge of Cox and Son Funeral Home, Ridgway.
