Wilma M. Smith

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Wilma M. Smith, 77, of Eldorado, passed away at 9:38 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at her residence.

She was the widow of Don Smith who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2008. They were married April 6, 1948.

Wilma was born in Gossit on Jan. 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Jessie Franklin and Nancy Stella (Trusty) Long.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church that was in Eldorado.

She worked as a cook at Pearce Hospital and Ninness Greenhouse.

Wilma is survived by a son, Darrel (Judy) Smith of Eldorado; and a daughter, Rita Hurley of Eldorado.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Roger (Angie) Wring, Shane (Jennifer) Wring, Joshua McClusky, Jamie McClusky, Donny Boulds, Christy Boulds, Jeremy Smith, Malissa Smith-Dunn, Dylan Hurley, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wilma is also survived by a sister, Alene (Don) Dillard of Dresden, Tenn.; two sons-in-law, Robert Wring and Kevin Boulds, both of Eldorado; and a foster daughter, Mary (Don) Tyler of Gary, Ind.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 11 siblings and two sons, Donald Ray Smith and Roger Dale Smith.

Funeral services are at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, with the Rev. Steve Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Friends called 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home.
