Leanna Hicks

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Leanna Hicks, 77, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Leanna was born on Dec. 13, 1931, in Stonefort to the late Rev. Lee and Inez (Cole) Dunn. She married Marion "Pickle" Hicks on April 15, 1950, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1985.

She was a member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Leanna is survived by a daughter, Mary Powell and husband Rick of Stonefort; son, Tommy Hicks of Harrisburg; son, Mike Hicks of Marion; granddaughter, Debra Threet and husband Gary of Carrier Mills; sister, Novella Sherrod of Marion; brother, Jim Dunn and wife Carolyn of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor and the Rev. Steve Dunn will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the Dorrisville Baptist Church Building Fund or the Area 22 Special Olympics. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
