Wilma Bond
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wilma Bond, 89, of Harrisburg, passed away 10:29 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Saline County to Lloyd and Bertha (Upchurch) Reynolds. She married George Bond on March 2, 1945, in New York City and he preceded on Oct. 26, 2000.
Wilma was a member of the Union Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, former employee of War Industries of Detroit, Mich. and was active in the senior citizen dances.
She is survived by one son, Vernon (Debra) Bond of Harrisburg; a sister, Mildred (Regnald) Riegel of Harrisburg; nephew, Larry Riegel of Harrisburg; nieces, Linda (Fred) Winders of Harrisburg and Regina (Bill) Demiter of Crown Point, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Ethel Lewis of Inverness, Fla., Elizabeth Smith of Spring Hill, Fla. and Ruth Willoughby of Demopolis, Ala.; and several cousins, Ellen Hogan of St. John, Ind., Sybil Davis of Galatia, Dorothy Elder of Eldorado and Lois Naugle of Harco.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Williams will be officiating with burial at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
