</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Helen Wilson Allen, 101, of Dahlgren, died 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center, McLeansboro.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Gary Whipple officiating. Burial will be in the Dahlgren I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at the funeral home.

She was the widow of Omar Ethan "Petie" Allen. She is survived by two sons, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
