Albert Vernon Fink
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Albert Vernon Fink, 85, of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.
He was born on July 20, 1923, in Normal to the late John and Mable (Hardy) Fink. He married Theresa Hughes and she preceded him in death in 1998. He then married Myrna Hancock and she survives.
Albert was a member of the American Legion Post No. 167, a 55-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1185 and was a World War II veteran.
Surviving family members include his wife, Myrna Fink of Harrisburg; children, John Fink and wife Janet of Wheatfield, Ind., Albert J. Fink and Mary Joyce of Fort Collins, Colo., Kathryn Fink and John McGrath of Oak Lawn, David Fink and wife Patricia of Calumet City, James Fink and wife Jessie of Grand Terrace, Calif., Jeffrey Fink and wife Kathleen of Loves Park, Vickie Morse and Tony Funaro of Harrisburg and Scott Morse and Shary Cummings of Table Grove; 16 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lavone Mirin of Tinley Park; two sisters-in-law, Anne Fink of Tempe, Ariz and Julie Fink of Chicago; and a brother-in-law, Joe Gerado of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; sisters, Viola Fink, Edna Kuehne, Lucille Fink, Gladys Fink, Jessie Martello, Flosie Fink, Corena Fink; and his twin, Alice Gibbons; a brother, Randell Fink; and twins, Richard Fink and Robert Fink, Doland Fink and William Fink.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
