Dorothy J. Springs

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dorothy J. Springs, 86, of Galatia, passed away at 4:47 p.m. Saturday Feb. 7, 2009, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

Dorothy was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Saline County to Ross and Marie (Johnson) Springs. She was a cosmetologist and also worked and retired from the Kankakee State Hospital.

She is survived by one brother, George Springs of Cleveland, Okla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Eugene "Buster" Springs; and sister, Marie E. Burlison. She was also preceded by four infant brothers and sisters.

Dorothy was a Protestant by faith.

Dorothy's wishes were to be cremated and there will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Ebenezer Church with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
