</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald E. Metheney, 86, of rural McLeansboro, died 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, McLeansboro.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in Old Springer Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post No. 106. Visitation is 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Metheney; a son; daughter-in-law; two stepsons; three stepdaughters; five brothers; a sister; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
