Carolyn S. Russell

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Carolyn S. Russell, 64, Rosiclare, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Rosiclare Healthcare Center.

She was the widow of Samuel F. Smith and David Russell.

Carolyn was born in Omaha on May 23, 1944, the daughter of the late Alvin Cox and Louise (Saules) Wooden.

She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Eldorado.

Before retirement she worked as a bartender for the Eldorado VFW, American Legion, Eagles and Amvets clubs.

Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Kim (Todd) Duggins of Golconda and Vicki (Ronnie) Horton of Thompsonville; and two sons, Edward Smith of Eldorado and J.C. (Sue) Hargrave of Harrisburg. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carolyn is also survived by a sister, Linda McCall of Texas; and a brother, Lawrence (Margaret) Wooden of Shawneetown.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clydus Cox, Alvin Cox and Tommy Wooden.

As per her request her body has been cremated and no public services are planned.
