Sue Ann 'Nan' Sanderson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sue Ann "Nan" Sanderson, 70, of Stonefort, died peacefully at 7:53 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family and close friend, Ruth Milburn.

Sue was born on Sept. 18, 1938, in Fisk, Mo., to the late Ivan O. and Louise Bennett Risinger. On Sept. 15, 1960, she married Donald L. "Pop" Sanderson, and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2005.

She was a devoted member of the Stonefort General Baptist Church, a retired licensed practical nurse and enjoyed being a salesperson for Home Interior Gifts until her failing health.

She enjoyed being with her family, traveling and being a "Nan" to everyone.

She is survived by sons, Donnie (Terri) Sanderson Jr. of Stonefort and Perry (Carleen) Sanderson of Stonefort; daughters, Kelly (Randy) Rogers of Carrier Mills and Ellen (Greg) Prince of Carrier Mills; eight grandchildren, Terra (Andrew) Penniga, SPC Zach Sanderson, Sammi Sanderson, Susan Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Zebadiah Sanderson, Ezekiel Sanderson and Katelyn Prince; great-grandchildren, Kylah Rogers, Amia Rogers and great-grandson-to-be, Branson Adam Lee Rogers; brothers, Ronald (Darla) Risinger of Carrier Mills and Steve (Barb) Risinger of Anderson, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at the Stonefort General Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at the church and also from 9 a.m. to service time on Thursday. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the preferred choice of remembrance is memorials in her memory to the Stonefort General Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
