Verda Faye (Garrison) Anderson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Verda Faye (Garrison) Anderson, 90, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
Faye, as most knew her, was born northeast of Ridgway on the family farm Dec. 5, 1918, to the late Charles and Ora (Downen) Foster. She was married to Guy Garrison, who preceded her in death in 1959. She later married Frank Anderson of Eldorado in 1964 and he preceded her in 2007.
Faye was a homemaker and loved to play bingo and bridge. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and will be greatly missed.
Her family is a son, Bill (Connie) Garrison of Carmi; a granddaughter, Rhoda (Tom) Cox of Ridgway; a grandson, Guy (Kristi) Garrison of Evansville, Ind.; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by parents; husbands; a grandson, William Tab Garrison; two brothers, Felix and Kale Foster; and a sister, Ruth Bayley.
Visitation for Faye was from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Funeral Services for Faye were 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Buckman officiating. Interment followed the service at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
