Evelyn Siemsglusz

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Evelyn Young Siemsglusz, 90, of 308 W. Raymond St., Harrisburg, died 7:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Belleville.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Harrisburg with the Rev. Frank Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home, Harrisburg.

She was born Sept. 19, 1918, in Basket, Ky., to Lonard and Carrie (Bennett) Jackson. On May 5, 1955, she married Walter Siemsglusz, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2005.

She was a retired secretary for Dr. Blackard and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Harrisburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Diedreck (Timothy) Fennell of Bethesda, Md. and Susan (Stephen) Rosenthal of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, Walter D. (Mary) Siemsglusz Jr. of Belleville; five grandchildren, Caitlin Fennell, Kyle Fennell, Whitney Siemsglusz, Westin Siemsglusz and Walter D. "Trey" Siemsglusz III.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bennett, Durwood and Joseph Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
