Donald Dowdy

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald Dowdy, 73, from the Hobart and Gary, Ind. area, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Nov. 29, 2008.

Don was retired in 1986 from the electric shop, U.S. Steel.

He is survived by his wife, Monnie, formerly of Galatia; one son, Bobby Dowdy of Chicago; two daughters, Debbie (Mark) Stahl and Diane (Tom) Braselton; two grandchildren, Branden Braselton and Danielle Stahl; one brother, Bob (Carla) Dowdy of Harrisburg; one sister, Pat (J. R.) Steapleton of Carrier Mills; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 2 in Hobart and burial was in Valparaiso, Ind. Military rites were performed.
