John W. 'Bill' Connett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. John W. "Bill" Connett, 78, of Eldorado, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at his residence.

He was the husband of Freda "Lou" (Hafford) Connett, who survives.

John was born in Eldorado on Oct. 15, 1930, the son of the late John and Thelma (Cox) Connett.

He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a brick mason before retirement.

John is survived by a daughter, Jeanna, wife of Rick Weaver of Eldorado. He is also survived by grandchildren, Tami Evans (Eric) Zacovic of Pennsylvania, J. R. (Roni) Waychoff, Harrisburg, Ronnie (Rachel Gobin) Waychoff, Eldorado, Sharon (Richard) Fitzpatrick, Galatia, Mike (Lynn) Weaver, Eldorado and Traci (Jeff) Babcock, St. Louis, Mo.; and 14 great grandchildren. John is also survived by a brother, Don, husband of Sharon Gwaltney of Eldorado.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James Rex Connett; a grandchild, Billee and wife Melissa Evans; and a sister, Freda Murray.

Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, with the Rev. David G. Mays officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
