</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Victor E. Naas, 89, of Flora, died 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Clay County Hospital, Flora.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Flora with Father Patrick Okwumuo officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Flora with military honors. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Frank and Bright Funeral Home, Flora.
He was born in Equality on July 21, 1919, to the late John G. and Anna (DeVough) Naas. On Feb. 13, 1947, he married Mary Delores Daggart in Eldorado, and she survives in Flora.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Flora. He was retired after working over 20 years at Spartan Manufacturing. He liked hunting and fishing, and after retirement, enjoyed being at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Kathy (Dennis) Youngblood of Flora; several grandchildren, Bekin Youngblood and Jeanne of Pacific, Mo., and Leslie Youngblood Rusk of Flora; four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Rayden, Liam and Jase; three brothers, Gregory (Mary Beth) Naas of Ridgway, Burtis (Sue) Naas of O'Fallon and Charles (Pat) Naas of Ridgway; and four sisters, Mary Agnes (John) Wargel of Indiana, Delores (Bob) Wargel of Evansville, Ind., Madonna Westington of Lockport and Alice (Richard) Maloney of Ridgway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, Sederick and James.
