Virginia Mitchell

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia Hedwig von Kurz Leberman Mitchell, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born in Sheboygan, Wis., on July 6, 1920, to the late Frank A. and Mary Willa (Thomas) Leberman. On March 12, 1966, she married Edward T. Mitchell, and he preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1991.

Virginia was a member of the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church, the Harrisburg Women's Club, the Railroad Auxiliary, the Genealogical Society, Saline County Historical Society and the International Golden Fossil Tree Society.

Virginia is survived by her son, the Rev. Don and wife Cindy Pritchard of Pleasant Plains; a sister, Mary Ann Feazell of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Selina Pritchard and Benjamin Pritchard, both of Pleasant Plains, and Terra and husband Manuel Soto of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and a dear friend and companion, Charles Blackman of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Warren and Billy Leberman.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George Schmink officiating; burial will be in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
